What is money
Money is what makes us go to work in the morning. It puts food on the table and a roof over our heads. It can cause worry and despair, but also bring joy.
But even though everyone uses money, no one can fully explain how or why it works.
One thing is certain: it is more than just a means of payment. If we agree on it, anything can be turned into money – a piece of paper or metal, or a number on a screen. Money is created in encounters between people.
