Swedish copper
For parts of the 17th century, two-thirds of the world’s copper came from Sweden, mainly from the Falu copper mine (19). The display case contains 17 pieces of plate money made of copper. One of them was made in Kengis, Tornedalen (9) – the northernmost mint in the world. Many saami people worked at the mill in Kengis.
