Swedish arms industry
Stronger states led to greater wars. And great wars require more weapons. The first Swedish arms factories were built in the 16th century, and their number increased during the 17th century. The manufacture of weapons became one of Sweden’s first industries. The pistols on display were made at an Örebro factory in around 1717.
