20 kroner, Köpenhamn, Christian IX av Danmark, 1877

The Danish 20-krone coins were minted from 1873. Denmark's gold coins feature the portraits of the country's rulers, first King Christian IX, followed by Frederick VIII and finally Christian X. The gold crowns are associated with a period in Denmark's history of peace, an increase in general prosperity and four decades of stable prices.
