10 kroner, Köpenhamn, Christian IX av Danmark, 1898

On the obverse (front) of the coin we see the portrait of King Christian IX and on the reverse (back) Mother Denmark with the small Danish coat of arms. Below the king's portrait are the letters VBP, which are the initials of the mintmaster Vilhelm Buchard Poulsen. He worked at the Danish Mint in Copenhagen from 1893 to 1918. The 10 kroner gold coins were last issued in 1917.
