Money box, Söderhamns stads- och sydöstra Hälsinglands sparbank.

This specific type of money box is called a ‘bygelsparbössa’, whose name comes from the fact that the handle is in the shape of a hoop. The coins were inserted through the hole in one of the outer edges. This type of money boxes was introduced in Sweden around 1910, and became very popular from the mid-20th century onwards. The box is made of stainless steel and was issued by the Söderhamns stads- och sydöstra Hälsinglands sparbank (savings bank).
