5 kronor, Stockholm, Gustaf VI Adolf, 1972

For a few years after both the First and Second World Wars, 5, 2, and 1 öre coins were made of the cheaper metal iron instead of bronze. This was done to save money. The coins in iron and bronze have the same motif, King Gustav V's crowned mirrored monogram on the obverse (front) and the small national coat of arms and the denomination on the reverse (back).
