1 öre silvermynt, Stockholm, Adolf Fredrik, 1756

Between 1753 and 1761, Adolf Fredrik had 1-öre coins struck in silver. This had been done in Sweden since 1522, when Gustav Vasa had the first one-öre coins struck in Uppsala, Arboga and Västerås. After 1761, the one-öre coins continued to be struck only in copper. First they were struck in the denomination 1 öre silver coin, the value of which was equivalent to one öre in silver, and 1 öre copper coin, which was worth 1/3 of 1 öre silver coin. They were then struck in bronze until 1971.
