Flutes, sheep bone

Archaeologists have found an unusually large number of flutes in the Bromsgården neighbourhood in Örebro. They are made of sheep bone and usually have two to four finger holes. Does this mean that a flute maker lived in the area? Probably not. Making these flutes did not require much skill or resources. They were easy to make and you could use the sheep bones left over from the meal. The sound of these flutes was probably a common feature of the neighbourhood!
