25 öre, Stockholm, Gustaf VI Adolf, 1970

This 25-öre coin is of the new type that began to be issued in 1962. The coin had previously been made of silver, but from this year it became a copper-nickel coin with a new appearance. On the obverse (front), the crown was replaced by the crowned monogram of Gustav VI Adolf, G VI A, surrounded by the year of minting. The reverse motif was more similar to the previous one, with the denomination 25 and the inscription SVERIGE, but with the addition of St Erik's head and the letter U, indicating that the coin was struck in Stockholm and that Benkt Ulvfot was the mintmaster.
