5 öre, Stockholm, Gustaf V, 1917

This 5-öre coin from the time of Gustav V was minted in 1917. The light colour of the iron was replaced by a darker colour from 1942 onwards. The coin features the king's initial G and the regent number V in a monogram under a crown. On the same side is the year of minting and the King's motto: ‘WITH THE PEOPLE FOR THE FATHERLAND’. The other side shows the denomination above three crowns. The mint mark of the workshop in Stockholm where the coin was made appears at the bottom.
