10 kronor, Sveriges riksbank, 1877
The first Swedish ten-krona banknote was issued between 1874-1879 and is printed only on the front. At the top we see Sweden's large coat of arms and the banknote's number series on both sides of the coat of arms. In the text above and below the denomination "10 kronor", we can read that the Riksbank promises that the 10-krona banknote can be redeemed for 10 kronor in gold coins if the holder so wishes. At the bottom of the banknote is the date of issue and the signatures of two bank officials.
