1 öre, Stockholm, Oscar II, 1873

In 1873, the last coins of the riksdaler riksmynt coinage were minted. The coin on display, 1 öre, has, like all bronze coins, a wreath of laurel and oak leaves on the reverse (back). Within the wreath is the denomination of the coin and the year of minting. The portrait was made by Lea Ahlborn at the Royal Mint in Stockholm. During her time as an engraver, she produced portraits of three kings: Oscar I, Karl XV and Oscar II.
