10 riksdaler riksmynt, Bohusläns Enskilda Bank, 1869

Bohusläns Enskilda Bank came into being in 1869 and was based in Uddevalla. The bank issued banknotes in several denominations, initially in riksdaler riksmynt and later in kronor.

The 10 riksdaler riksmynt banknote dating back to 1869 features the Roman god Mercury, the god of merchants, and a shield bearing the Uddevalla coat of arms, an oak between two fir trees. On the reverse is the coat of arms of the province of Bohuslän within an oval circle. This banknote was printed at the J. Bagge printing works in Stockholm.

The bank issued banknotes between 1869 and 1879 and gave up its right to issue banknotes in 1901.
