2 taler, Osnabrück, Gustav II Adolf, 1633
When Osnabrück fell into Swedish hands in 1633, coins bearing the portrait of King Gustav II Adolf of Sweden were minted on behalf of Sweden to honour the fallen king. Other mints in Germany did the same. No more coins were minted for Sweden in Osnabrück after the minting of 1633, and the Swedes left the town in 1643.
