1 krona, Köpenhamn, Christian IX av Danmark, 1875

The first Danish one krone was struck in 1875. The artist was Harald Conradsen and the master of the mint was Diderik Christian Andreas Svendsen, whose initials ‘C S’ can be seen under the king's portrait. The reverse side is modelled like the Danish two-krone, with the small coat of arms surrounded by a dolphin, a symbol of seafaring, and an ear of barley, a symbol of agriculture.
