2 kronor, Köpenhamn, Christian IX av Danmark, 1875

The Danish two-kroner coin features the portrait of King Christian IX on the obverse (front) and the small Danish coat of arms on the reverse (back), surrounded by a dolphin, a symbol of seafaring, and a grain ox, a symbol of agriculture. The engraver was Harald Conradsen, who was employed as a coin and medal artist at the Copenhagen Mint between 1873 and 1901.
