500 kronor, Alfa-Laval Aktiebolag, 1965-12-01

The company Alfa-Laval AB was founded as AB Separator in 1883 by Gustav de Laval and Oscar Lamm. The factory was located on Kungsholmen in Stockholm. In 1894, Hamra gård in Tumba was purchased and became a test farm. The entire factory operations moved to Tumba in 1962, and a few years later the head office did too. After the move, the company changed its name to Alfa-Laval AB and in 1991 the company was bought by Tetra-Pak. Today, Alfa Laval has production in 20 factories on three continents.

In addition to separators, Alfa Laval manufactures heat transfer and fluid handling equipment. Customers are located all over the world - mainly in the environmental, food and marine industries.
