Medal commemorating over the Swedish victory at the battle of Narva on November 20, 1700.
The Swedish army defeated the much bigger Russian army in the Battle of Narva on 20 November 1700.
The obverse of the medal shows King Karl XII of Sweden with a laurel wreath – a victory wreath – on his head. On the reverse of the medal, we see Swedish troops advancing in a heavy snowstorm towards the Russian camp outside Narva. In the foreground, we see Karl XII on horseback.
