Örtug, Stockholm, Kristoffer av Bayern, 1441-1448
This örtug was minted in Stockholm by Sweden’s King Kristoffer of Bavaria. On the obverse (front) is a shield with three crowns, and on the reverse (back) is a C for Christopher, above what may be a small cross or the letter K, for Kristoffer. Around the edge is the inscription KRISTOFER REX S (Kristoffer, King of Sweden) and HONETA STOCKHO.
Kristoffer of Bavaria was King of the Union and ruled over Sweden, Denmark and Norway. He had örtugs struck in Stockholm and Turku.
