1/24 riksdaler, Stockholm, Karl XIII, 1811
King Karl XIII resumed the minting of both the 1/12 and 1/24 riksdaler after a break under King Gustav IV Adolf. On the coin we can read the king's motto ‘THE PEOPLE'S WILL MY HIGHEST LAW’. The shield of the small coat of arms is no longer the round one used since the 1740s, but a square one.
