2 öre, Stockholm, Gustaf V, 1942

This coin of the denomination 2 öre was issued in 1917. Typical of the coins of this period, and of the coins to this day, is that the obverse (front) of the coin has the king's crowned mirror monogram with his initials joined in a stylised form. The year of minting and the King's motto are also shown: ‘WITH THE PEOPLE FOR THE FATHERLAND’. The other side shows the denomination above three crowns. At the bottom is the mint mark of the Stockholm mint.
