50 öre, Kongsberg, Oscar II, 1877
The Norwegian 50 øre coins have the same appearance as the 2-krona and 1-krona coins, with the king's portrait on the obverse (front) and the Norwegian coat of arms on the reverse (back). In Sweden, the 50 øre coins had the king's monogram instead. In 2012, the 50 öre ceased to be legal tender in Norway.
