1/2 riksdaler, Stockholm, Fredrik I, 1750

During the reign of King Adolf Fredrik of Sweden, the small Swedish coat of arms was used on coins instead of the large coat of arms. This continued until 1844, when King Oscar I reverted to using the large coat of arms.

This coin shows the small coat of arms surrounded by the symbol of the Order of the Seraphim, a chain, together with the king’s motto and the denomination 2 D S M – 2 daler silvermynt.
