5 kronor, Carl XVI Gustaf, 2016
This variant of the 5-krona coin started being issued in 2016. It is lighter and smaller than its predecessors and is coloured gold, whereas its predecessor was silver. The King's portrait is absent, replaced by his crowned monogram together with the year of issue of the coin. To the left of the monogram are the initials of the engraver Ernst Nordin. The King's name and title can be read in the outer ring. The other side of the coin shows the denomination under three crowns at the top and four fields of stylised waves surrounding the inscription SVERIGE.
